This thing is sick. All-in-one hot shower. Solid construction. The color combo of orange and black looks amazing. Very easy to set up and use and works great with enough water pressure to get you a good shower. Carry handle feels very solid in your hand. The interface is very straightforward. Can't wait to show it off to my buddies on our next caming trip.
I took this propane portable water heater with me on a tent camping trip with friends right after receiving it, and having access to hot water outdoors made the experience comfortable! The accessories were also complete and well thought out. I'm already looking forward to my next adventure with it!
The heating speed is fast, just about 3 seconds after following the instructions, and hot water was ready! The temperature stayed consistent, with no sudden fluctuations between hot and cold. I set it to medium heat and enjoyed a really comfortable shower.
I absolutely love this thing.
We went camping for 4d/3n, and after recent flooding the campground had no running water and no working showers. This device saved the trip - having hot water in the middle of the forest whenever you want is amazing.
Before leaving I charged it to about 80%. We were 4ppl (2 adults and 2 kids) showering every morning and evening. I also washed my hair twice, and we used it to wash frying pans. After the entire trip we had used just over half the battery, and one 1lb propane tank.
The controls are simple and intuitive. Everything is backlit, and the buttons are raised, so you can find them by touch even with soap in your eyes if you want to turn the pump on or off. If you just want to pause the water while soaping up, you can use the control button on the shower head to reduce or stop the water flow without turning the pump off. The heater automatically increases, decreases, turns on/ off the flame to maintain the target water temp as the water flow changes or stops. You can also switch between different spray patterns. I mostly used the regular shower spray, but you can select a soft, more concentrated stream or a combination of both (like on the attached video). From a cold start it took about 10 seconds to reach the set temperature.
Since we had to bring all of our water with us, we could actually see how much we were using. It averaged ~1 gallon per shower per person, or ~2 gal if washing long hair.
The hose is also much longer than I expected. I'm 5'7", and I could easily hold the shower over my head with plenty of slack.
I also liked that it’s kid-safe. There aren't any obvious places where little fingers could get hurt.
Just make sure the air vents stay uncovered while it's running, don’t put towels or clothes on it.
One tiny flow - in bright direct sunlight, the display may be harder to read, so if I wanted to check or adjust the temp, I had to shade it with my hand.
Overall, it's compact, lightweight, super convenient, and holds the power well. I can't wait for my next dispersed camping trip with it!
Will not heat water at 65F higher than 95F. Only capable of a 30 degree temp rise
Used today for first time, I’ve had other showers but this w one was impressive. Handle sprayer was quality. Very easy to stop or pause water. Narrow unit as compared to other models which I prefer. Does seem to suck water fast but just fill tub with more water. I’d buy again.
We just got back from a camping trip in WY where temperatures were 50s for high and 30s low. A warm shower was amazing at the end of a day full of hiking. The water temp was around 50F and the unit was not able to heat it past 88F. We then put the shower head in the bucket and recerculated the water until the temp was in the 80s in the bucket. Then the unit was able to put out temps of over 108F. Pressure is sufficient. Not like hone plumbing, but works.
Had my doubts but this little machine worked like a pro! I love it! Didn’t realize I had to charge it. Had to do that on the fly in my truck, it charged quickly and provided water for 7 showers and dishes for several nights before I had to charge it again. It charged fast, has immediate hot water, easy to use I LOVE the automatic start on it! My new favorite camp staple! Now I need the carrying case to keep it nice! For reference, I’m 67 and we had 10 people camping for 7 days!
I used mine numerous times last summer when I was living off-grid, and it worked great for me. I used a rubbermaid trough for a bathtub to catch the water as I showered, and when the water was deep enough, I put the pump into the bathtub and just ran the same water back through the unit. The water in the tub got hotter each cycle and I could actually soak in it after awhile. That is NICE when you're off-grid and have some aches to soak away. (Manufacturer probably does not recommend my technique! Nor the fact that I used harvested rainwater to shower - but hey, it worked!)
Water got plenty hot for me (scalding if I wanted it), and the pressure was decent, too, not just some lame dribble.
Took this to the backcountry for 2 weeks!
Performed amazingly well. After a total of about 10 showers there was still battery and propane left! Best purchase ever!
